Bambu ("Bambu," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and birth date.

  • Financial Information: Account balances and transaction data obtained from linked financial accounts through third-party providers such as Plaid. This also includes balances and asset values you enter manually for accounts not linked through a third-party provider.

  • Subscription and Purchase Information: Subscription status and purchase history collected through RevenueCat, our payment and subscription management provider, in order to provide access to paid features.

  • Communications: Information you provide when contacting customer support through the in-app support tool, including your message content, device type, operating system, and app version. We may also collect information you provide when responding to surveys.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Usage Information: Device type, operating system, IP address, login timestamps, app interactions, transaction search activity, and crash reports.

  • Analytics Data: We may collect information about how users interact with the Service to improve functionality and performance. This data is aggregated and used solely for internal product improvement purposes and is not shared with third-party advertising networks.

c. Aggregated and De-Identified Data

We may create aggregated or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you. This information may be used for analytics, research, and product improvement.

Note: We do not store your banking login credentials.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service, including account aggregation and financial insights.

  • Personalize your experience and improve our features.

  • Manage your subscription and provide access to paid features.

  • Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and customer support.

  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted vendors who process information on our behalf under contractual obligations to safeguard it, and who are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Current key providers include Plaid (bank account linking) and RevenueCat (subscription management).

  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information.

  • Legal Requirements: When required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.

  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

5. Data We Do Not Collect

To be clear about the limits of our data practices, Bambu does not collect:

  • Precise or coarse location data

  • Contacts from your address book or social graph

  • Photos, videos, or audio recordings

  • Health or fitness data

  • Biometric data

  • Your banking login credentials

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Right to Access: Request confirmation and a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Bambu does not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
